Plitvice
Plitvice Plitvice LakesPlitvice Lakes (in croatian Plitvička jazera), are composed of 16 interlinked lakes between Mala Kapela Mountain and Plješevica Mountain in the region of Lika. The lake system is divided into the upper lakes (Prošćansko, Ciginovac, Okrugljak, Batinovac, Veliko Jezero = Big Lake, Malo Jezero = Small Lake, Vir, Galovac, Milino Lake, Jezerce, Burgeti and Kozjak) and the lower lakes (Milinovac, Gavanovac, Kaluderovac and Novakovica Brod). The highest of them is Prošćansko Lake (639 m) and the lowest Novakovica Brod (503 m). The upper lakes, surrounded by thick forests and interlinked by a series of waterfalls, with the biggest one is 78m high.

Pirovac

Pirovac is the most important tourist place and the municipal centr trogether with Vodice and Primosten. He was mentioned for the first time in 1298.

 It has offered the uniqueness of the sun and sunsets, the richness of the sea, rocks and stones. It has laced the secrets of the Mediterranean pine, vineyards and olive broves, laurels and figs, calms and mistrals into the unique melodious rhythm of nature.

 As well as the whole District of Sibenik, Pirovac lies on the palms of two national parks: the island paradise "Kornati" and the karst beauty with the unique waterfalls "Krka" and the Vransko jezero (the Vrana Lake) an ideal place for the  sports fishing.

Makarska
